Sip & Sculpt Night
I took a Beginner’s textile hardener (Paverpol) class in November of 2015 from a friend in Edmonton. I played with the little knowledge I had and have developed my own style, learning some very interesting things along the way!
I read a recent Paverpol Canada newsletter and saw I could become an instructor in Manitoba, so thought “why not”! In 2016, I took my instructors course in Saskatoon with Loretta Metzger and am now a Certified Paverpol Instructor (CPI).
Paverpol is a fabric hardener with benefits. It’s environmentally friendly, easy and fun to work with, cleans up with water. The sculptures you create in a day are outdoor ready in two weeks! You maybe so impressed with your creativity, that you will want to keep them inside!
Since the summer of 2015, I have been volunteering in my friends gallery in Souris, Mb – Lagasse’s Studio of Fine Art. When fellow artists would come to the studio, I would be asked “where is your art”? I can now enthusiastically show my creations using a textile hardener.
Classes are offered at a variety of locations, check class schedule to find a location near you.. I'm open for other location suggestions or private gatherings such as team building, girlfriend's activity or a gathering in your own "bubble"! Call or text me with your questions at 204-724-0035
My work can be found at Lagasse's Studio of Fine Art in Souris, Mb, year round. For the summer of 2022my work will be featured at the Wasagaming Community Arts in Clear Lake, Mb. Most recently I have added pieces to Prairie Fusion Arts in Portage la Prairie, Mb.
